IntroductionYale University, founded in 1701, is one of the oldest universities in the United States, and has been one of that nation’s top three universities over the years. And while the Yale School of Public Health has been established for 100 years, in recent decades Yale alumni in public health and medicine are acknowledged for their contributions in Taiwan. Thus we are holding this event to bring public health experts from home and abroad and excellent people in associated fields together to share their professional experience and to develop new public health visions.
We are proud to welcome the President of Yale University’s School of Public Health, Professor Paul D. Cleary, as well as Yale Vice President Prof. Martin Klein. Invited alumni in Taiwan include Director General of the Centers for Disease Control, the Ministry of Health and Welfare Hsu-Sung KUO, Commissioner of Public Health Department, New Taipei City Government Chi-Hung LIN, Director of Institute of Health Policy and Management, National Taiwan University, Shou-Hsia CHENG, Distinguished Professor of Department of Microbiology, College of Medicine, Kaohsiung Medical University Yi-Ming CHEN, and others to offer presentations or keynote speeches. Other invitees include global and local experts engaged in public health research, teaching and service. We will be able to draw on a unique combination of talents to face health challenges with new ideas as we promote public and preventive health services worldwide
