Introduction | Topic: Evolving Roles of Telemedicine and Telehealth Technologies in Healthcare Delivery and Outcomes Speaker: Maximillian E. Stachura, MD Venue: Boardroom, 15/F United Medical Building(Back building) About Dr. Stachura : Dr. Stachura graduated Hamilton College (1961) and Harvard Medical School (1965), and trained at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He served on the University of Chicago faculty, winning an NIH Career Development Award (1976) before being appointed (1981) Professor of Medicine and Chief of Endocrinology at the Medical College of Georgia and named Outstanding Faculty Member (1987). He was appointed, Director of the Center for Telehealth (1995), named Georgia Research Alliance Scholar in Telemedicine (1997) and tenured as Professor in Augusta University’s Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Graduate Studies. A Principal Investigator on numerous NIH, VA, DoD, and foundation grants, he has published more than 300 journal articles, chapters, and abstracts in neuroendocrinology and telemedicine/telehealth He is Associate Editor for two journals, has been Visiting Professor at several US universities, and consults for industry and internationally. Dr. Stachura practices and teaches neuroendocrinology and general endocrinology at Augusta University. |
