Topic: Clinical Information Models and FHIR: Designing a Single, Sustainable Implementation Guide
This lecture bridges the semantic foundation to the technology layer.
Dr. Huff will explore the relationship between Clinical Information Models (CIMI) and FHIR Implementation Guides, making the case for why a nation benefits from converging on a single, well-governed IG rather than proliferating competing specifications.
The session will examine the design principles that make an IG clinically usable and sustainably maintainable, and discuss how Taiwan’s TW Core IG can evolve into a unified national standard that serves clinical care, research, and AI applications alike.
