【主題】：在臨床試驗中期之分析與數據監控(Interim Analysis and Data Monitoring in Clinical Trials)
【內容】：For reasons of ethics, resources, cost, and patient’s welfare, interim analyses and data monitoring have been become an integral and indispensable part of clinical trials. The United States National Institute of Health (The US NIH) requires that all clinical trials sponsored by the US NIH must include and conduct interim analysis and data monitoring. In this presentation, I will review the commonly employed methods of interim analysis. These methods include the Haybittle-Peto procedure, the Pocock method and the O’Brien-Fleming approach. The advantages and shortcomings of these methods will be discussed and compared.
